Audio Self-Guided Tour

You can now tour the Museum of Fire using your own smart phone or tablet with the izi.TRAVEL app. Download the free app to access the Museum of Fire’s self-guided audio tour on your smart device. We suggest that you download the audio tour in advance as Wi-Fi is not available at the Museum.

 

The Museum of Fire currently has one audio tour available, the Junior Firefighters Challenge. The perfect multi-media guide for those aged between 8-16 who have ever wondered if they have what it takes to be a firefighter.

 

* Additional Audio Tours are currently in development.*

 

The audio tour is free to download, please see the instructions below. An entry free still applies to enter the Museum of Fire to complete the audio tour.

How to Download the IZI Travel App
ANDROID

 

• Go to the Play store

 

• Type izi Travel into the search bar

• Select izi.Travel: Audio Travel Guide

​

• Select INSTALL

​

• Once installation has finished select OPEN

​

• Type Museum of Fire into the search bar located at the top of the screen

​

• Select Museum of Fire 

​

• Select the Junior Firefighters Challenge

​

• Select the Download button at the bottom left hand side of the screen

​

• Once downloaded use the pink arrow to start the tour

APPLE

 

• Go to the App Store

​

• Type izi Travel into the search bar

​

• Select GET

​

• Select INSTALL ( you will be prompted for your itunes password)

​

• Select OPEN

​

• Select the pink Start button

​

• Select the pink OK button

​

• A pop up will appear asking if you allow izi. Travel access to your location whilst using the app - Select Allow

​

• Select Explore Guides

​

• Select the compass icon located in the bottom left had corner of the screen.

​

• Type Museum of Fire into the search bar located at the top of the screen

​

• Select Museum of Fire

​

• Select the Junior Firefighters Challenge

​

• Once on the tour home screen, select the Download button

​

• Select Download on the pop up screen

​

• Select OK on the successful download pop up

​

• Select the pink Start button to begin the tour
