The Museum of Fire recognises and supports diversity and inclusion. We all have a fundamental right to access and enjoy the museum and to engage with the stories it tells. To this end, we offer a variety of services to ensure the accessibility of the museum and its collection.
Single level access to all public areas of the museum
All computers are fitted out for accessibility access, with touch screens and switch adapted mice with trackballs
Accessible toilets are located inside the museum and outside in our picnic grounds.
Service dogs are welcome
Sensory friendly sessions
Sensory friendly sessions run every Thursday from 1:00pm - 4:30pm and is a free service to the public with museum admission fees. For three hours flashing lights and loud noises from interactive displays are turned off to accommodate for visitors who prefer a more quiet, sensory-friendly experience. There is no booking required, and for the duration of the Sensory Friendly Session everyone pays kids admission prices for entry - that's only $8.50!
