VALE

Garry Rumble’s impact on the Penrith community was far reaching. The former Penrith Councillor served 31 years with Penrith City Council and was a leading figure in the service organisations Apex, Rotary and Probus. In 2009, he received the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in recognition of his service to Local Government and the wider Penrith community.

Garry was the Museum’s Vice Chairman from 2001-2018 and formed part of the committee that oversaw the relocation of the Museum of Fire to its current location at the former powerhouse in Penrith. We would like to express our gratitude for his service and our sincerest condolences to his wife Louise, his son Chris, and his daughter Jodie.
