About the event

We are hosting our children's art competition again this year, with online entries open from 28 September until 30 October. Shortlisted entries will be chosen and exhibited in our Museum with prizes up for grabs!
Join us for a special 2026 Art Competition and exhibition celebrating the remarkable history of Dogs in Firefighting! From the loyal station companions to the highly trained Ignitable Liquid Detection Canine unit, these four-legged heroes have played a unique and impactful role in firefighting history.
Through your artwork, we invite you to explore and express the bond between firefighters and their canine partners, highlighting courage, companionship, service, and innovation. Whether inspired by real dogs of the brigade, imagined moments of bravery, or the evolution of canine roles over time, all artistic styles and interpretations are welcome.
